Greetings from the dark underworld of freelance art. 'Demeter's Daughter' Persephone I, is the vulnerability-meets-strength album you have been waiting for.

I am looking for donations from £30-£150 (and upwards) and for this you will be sorted a copy of the album when it comes out, a poster and a piece of my art work, as well as the honour of being one of Demeter's Daughter supporters! If you donate £150 or more you will be mentioned on the album itself and my eternal appreciation. this is the minimum it cost to be in the studio a day.

I go by many names these days Persephone being one. Some know me as Cera Impala; half human, half freelance working songstress my live long life. I'm a mother, curator, immigrant and supporter of the untold story - starting with my own. I am currently perplexed over the price of of a timing belt, busy making my 5th studio album in incremental sparks when I can afford. It's a jam-packed double-whammy musical sojourn entering it's final 9 month pregnant phase of tracking and mixing, now needing a consoling foot-rub and some ice cream. Funds ** it is hereby announced ** have officially run dry from previous albums sales and while this project was projected to be entirely self-funded, pride will be presently parked at the door and arms for hugs and a hopeful bit of dough will be wide open as a church door on Sunday --and are reaching out to you.

This double album is dedicated to the timeless 'one-off' accidental feminist icon herself, 'Persephone' who effortlessly aims to aid us to embrace our duality without shame. 'Demeter’s Daughter' was the one and only ‘Goddess of spring’-come-Queen of the ‘Underworld'. Heroine of herafter, she was most definitely and is today a needed challenge to the status quo; helps us find honest depth in darkness when feminism wasn't a 'thing' (spoiler, because it actually wasn't necessary, -we forget that women have had more much respect, reverence and power in the past in society than we do now). I would like to remember, reimagine and rebuild this world. This body of work is a reflection and devotion to the divine feminine. The day in age in which we live, Artificial 'intelligence' threatens to replace this evergy and humanity by replacing relationships, teachers, even by birthing children (*see womb-bots) and replacing intimacy (*see sex bots) and simultaneously the military industrial complex to reshape the world by removing us from our authentic roots, our humanity, sense of community and connection with nature.

This album is not just a welcome escape but an invitation to us to chose a beautiful alternative and very needed human path.

Nature and nurture infused, this handmade music harkens back-to-the-future sentiments by acoustic instruments, and flesh-plucked vibrations. Fair to point out, it’s a pretty big job being Goddess of spring and 'Queen of the underworld'. Persephone the first half, 'Demeter's Daughter’ has been a long labour of love, barefoot in the proverbial music kitchen but will certainly bring you, dear listers to taste this delicious audio-dish while it’s piping hot on served on this here table fresh from every season a year brings; every age and stage of life.

Persephone at her core, the bravest version of 'everywoman', the backbone of humanity (if not also the brains and heart) This music is a mirror of such a journey; a trip through the dynamic yin-yang of joy, sorrow, separation and connection; the infinite dance that is the human condition, a nod to needed transformation we beans experience in all of its grit, wonder, clumsiness, harmonic depth and humanity.

I am hopeful it will bring us closer to relationship with ourselves with natural world we share in flora, fauna, fellow humans and the 'otherworld'; hopeful that we may embrace the darkness and grow to know that without it, surely....we would not see the light.
