Hi Everyone, I’m fundraising in support of my Mom ,Thelma Randall. Four weeks ago my I found Mom on the floor of her home. She fell and fractured her femur. I called her an ambulance and took her to the ER. After X-rays and CT scans she was admitted to the hospital and scheduled for surgery 72 hours later.

While in the hospital she suffered a stroke and lost strength on her left side. For a day she was unable to speak. And I had to advocate day and night for her. Also while in the hospital she developed a Stage 2 pressure ulcer on her sacrum. While at the hospital she was exposed to Candida and had to be placed in isolation. And after being in the hospital for 3 weeks she contracted COVID.

The stage 2 pressure ulcer has now progressed to stage 4. 

The level of care and support going forward is costly. And unfortunately the healthcare costs not covered by insurance can be staggering. Her insurance doesn’t even the cover ambulette transport to from the nursing rehabilitation to her post operation ortho follow ups.

The last thing I want is for my Mom to not get the level of care and support she deserves. For those of you who’ve met her she is one of the most kind, loving, and compassionate humans I ever met. I am in awe of Her Faith amid the most challenging circumstances.
