Bobby DeMay Family-KD Research

With a heavy heart, our friend Bobby Demay reached out this morning to let us know that his family recently lost his their 4 year old daughter Angie, on July 17th. His family is flying in from California this Thursday to attend the funeral this weekend (details to come).
After speaking with Bobby, he asked that any gifts/donations be made, in Angie's name, to Rady Children's Hospital to further research on Kawasaki Disease.
Bobby mentioned his family has spent a lot of time at Rady Childrens Hospital in San Diego, where Angie was treated. In addition to providing amazing treatment to Angie, they are internationally known for conducting cutting-edge research regarding Kawasaki disease. Currently, any donations made are matched $ for $ by the Macklin Foundation. See the link for more details.

I have set the target at $5,000 for two reasons. First, the opportunity to get $ for $ matching by a third party is rare and should be maximized. Like I mentioned before, this is not only a facility that has had a meaningful impact on our friend's family, but they are also on the forefront of studying and combatting this disease. Second, by donating a total of $5,000, Bobby's family can create a permanent tribute to their daughter by having a Celebration Tile displayed at the hospital. The tile will be a replica of their favorite piece of Angie's artwork on display for all to see, and I happen to think that is a pretty cool tribute.
If you are compelled to give, please try and do so before Saturday afternoon. If not, please just keep Bobby and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
