DeMars Family Fundraiser

The lives of our uncle Norbert and cousins Patrick & Katie have been upended by Hurricane Ian. The storm decimated their town of Fort Myers Beach along with their home and all belongings. We are grateful that they remained safe in a hotel during the storm and that they are all together, but they now face an uncertain future.

Since Norbert and our beloved late aunt Mary Anne Connors DeMars moved to Fort Myers Beach and raised their children there, it has always been a home away from home for our Scranton family, and they welcomed us by the dozen as we made their house and hometown our own for a few weeks each year. We would like to give back to them and help them as they begin to rebuild their lives.

We have all gotten many calls and texts asking how to help, and thought the GoFundMe would be the quickest way for people to contribute. Any donation is appreciated, and we are thankful for your continued thoughts and prayers for the DeMars family, as well as for all the displaced residents of Fort Myers Beach and the countless others affected by Hurricane Ian.
