Hi. I'm Demario aka Mario. I have been completely independent and supporting myself financially since I graduated from Northern Burlington in 2015, at age 18. For the past 3 years I have worked full-time while also going to school full-time. I will be graduating soon with a Culinary Arts degree from Rowan College at Burlington County. Cooking is my passion, and I am proud to say I have worked my way up from a dishwasher to a cook at Dunleavy’s Restaurant.
As I get ready to graduate college I also find myself in the position of having to find a new place to live by May 1. In addition, because my culinary classes are about 4x the cost of a regular class at RCBC, I am having difficulties paying my tuition bills and have found myself in a tough situation. I am struggling to pay for basic living expenses, healthcare, and transportation to and from work. Also, I have my driver’s license but haven’t been able to afford a car. Ultimately, I am saving up to buy a car, which will make life much easier for me, rather than depending on rides from others and public transportation. Getting a car will also allow me to expand my job options.
I will be forever grateful for any support anyone can give me at this time. I’ve been blessed to meet good people in my life and I hope to one day be able to return these favors.
Thank you so much, and please share this if you can.
