Hey folks,
Cam Johnstone here from Delta Bingo & Gaming. I’m coming to you today to talk about what we’ve all been hearing about on the news and online, that’s the need for personal protective equipment on our front lines. Our front line workers are putting their safety at risk every day to keep us safe, and we at Delta Bingo want to do our part to support them any way we can.
We’ve partnered with a local manufacturer to make plastic face shields and we’re working together with them to get the PPE materials to our front line workers FASTER. To kick off this initiative, Delta Bingo has committed $20,000 to jump start the production process and get these masks in the hands of those who need them most.
Together, we can make an even bigger impact. We’ve set up a go fund me page to collect donations that will go directly to the production and distribution of this essential equipment. I know from our past fundraisers like the ride to conquer cancer, Fort McMurrary relief and other in centre initiatives that Delta Bingo has some of the most generous and compassionate customers in the world. At this moment, every little bit counts and we need to do our part.
Premier Ford said, “When the chips are down, you find out who your friends are”. I agree, and I believe when the chips are down, you also find out who you are, and it’s time for us to step up and do our part to show our health care workers that we have their backs.
