Ever since Del came up lame at the end of January, it's been a wild ride. With close to $900 in vet bills between Dr. Scoville and GVEC, it's been hard to save money to get the surgery done to remove his bone chip. Del hasn't gotten better, and my trainer and I have both decided it's best not to ride him until he's had the surgery. The chip is large in size and has detached. It's currently floating around his fetlock(ankle) causing him pain. Because of this, there's a sense of urgency. Del is now confined to stall rest because of how lame he is. He is limping pretty badly and I have to keep standing wraps on him in order to keep him even semi-comfortable. I'm not one to ask for help, nor money, but Del means the world to me and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep him happy, healthy, and in my care. It breaks my heart to see him suffering like this. About $3000 should be able to cover the cost of the surgery and a couple days of stay for him at the hospital. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance for taking the time to read my GoFundMe page.
