Delphine Thompson was admitted to the hospital September 2019. Delphine was diagnosed with Anti GBM or as most people know it by Good Pasture Syndrome. This disease affect Delphine's lungs and shut down her Kidneys. Delphine was diagnosed with Stage IV kidney disease and placed on dialysis. We were told she would need to have a kidney transplant. She was placed on the kidney transplant list at Duke and travel to VA for that list. She has come along way since last September. This past Friday August 7th, we got the miracle we all have been waiting for... She has a match for a kidney!! Delphine had a kidney transplant on Saturday and is doing well. She will be watched carefully due to having so many blood transfusions in the past. Delphine is highly acceptable to catch an infection. Visitor's will be limited and restricted to family only. She will be discharged from Duke soon and will need many prayers. Delphine will have to take daily anti-rejection medication for the rest of her life. Any donation would be greatly appreciated to help with medical expenses. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
