Four years on from 24 February 2022, the world seems to have forgotten about the horrors and destruction of the Russian invasion, a luxury the Ukrainian people do not have.

I'm raising money to support and be part of Convoy4Ukraine.

Convoy4Ukraine is a wonderful and effective charity. It fundraises to buy 4x4s and ambulances and fills them with medical and humanitarian aid asked for by the people in Ukraine. It drives them across Europe to deliver them to our Ukrainian partners working on the ground.

The 4x4s aren’t just vehicles; they are lifelines. In frontline villages where roads are shattered and danger ever-present, these vehicles become ambulances evacuating the wounded, mobile field hospitals reaching the isolated, and delivery trucks bringing food, water, and medical supplies.

This means a lot to me because Celia and I visited Ukraine in 2011 with a great friend who died of breast cancer. In memory of Sveta, we have been involved (a little) in supporting Ukrainian refugees & wanted to do more.

At this stage when Ukraine is under huge pressure to accept an unfair peace deal, and I am (mainly) stopping work, I have been offered the opportunity to be part of the team driving a convoy of 4x4s and ambulances to Ukraine in February.

I am personally covering my contribution to the purchase of the vehicles and travel costs. Your donation will go towards purchasing the medical equipment and humanitarian aid our Ukrainian partners have asked us to deliver.
