My name is Delilah Burns, and I am trying to raise money for goalkeeper tournaments held by Keeper Wars Ink on July 1st and 2nd in St. Louis, Missouri, and the South Rush Cup for Rush soccer tournaments in Lafayette, Louisiana on August 5th and 6th.

Update: I did really well at Keeperwars in Missouri on July 1st and 2nd. I went to the playoffs on day two to compete against a wildcard player. We went into overtime due to a tied score and she beat me with 1 goal to kick me out of making it to the finals. I met great goalkeepers there in my age group and will compete again in the near future.

Soccer is my passion; I hope to play college soccer and have a long-term professional career in it. On July 1st and 2nd, I will compete as an individual goalkeeper while representing my club CSRA Rush, in several games where I go face-to-face with another female goalkeeper in my age group. Each of us will try to score on each other and block the shots from going into our own goal. This will give me the opportunity to put all of my skills as a competitive goalkeeper.

The tournaments on August 5th and 6th will be with my soccer club CSRA Rush where I play as the 2009 girls' Goalkeeper. The tournament will have many Rush teams in attendance from the southern region of the United States. There will also be many college coaches looking for future talent. This will give me the opportunity to be seen at the beginning of my high school career.

I’ve been playing soccer ever since I was five years old. Almost immediately, I fell in love with the position I have been playing for nine years; Goalkeeping. I absolutely love every aspect of it, even the conditioning. This opportunity will help me be able to showcase my talent in front of college coaches and select coaches. So I can take my love for soccer and passion for it further. Just a small donation of five dollars can help me reach my goal. I am looking to raise $2,500.00 to help cover boarding and travel costs.
