I am trying to raise as much money as possible to support my Uncle Tony and his family after an utterly devastating and sudden loss.
On 4 January 2026, my Auntie Delilah, aged just 57, was told she had cancer. Only five days later, on Tuesday 9 January, we were given the heartbreaking news that nothing more could be done. The cancer was metastatic and had spread to multiple areas of her body. Doctors were unable to identify the primary source, and Delilah was not strong enough to undergo further scans or invasive tests.
I sat with her, holding her hand, as she and our family were told this news.
On 11 January, just days later, Delilah passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love — with my Uncle Tony, her four children and their partners, and her sister Vicky by her side.
Delilah and Tony had been married for 40 years. She leaves behind her four beautiful children — Kimberley, Laura, Jake, and Callum — and her beloved grandson Anthony, who she absolutely adored. She was also so excited to be welcoming another grandson, who is due on 30 January.
Delilah was one of those rare people who would do anything for anyone. She was the life and soul of every family gathering, full of warmth, laughter, and kindness. She wore her heart on her sleeve and gave so much of herself to everyone around her. We have a lifetime of memories — holidays, days out, celebrations — that we will cherish forever.
We are asking, if you are able, to please consider donating even £1 to help our family give Delilah the beautiful send-off she deserves, and to provide some financial support for my Uncle Tony as he begins to navigate life without his wife of 40 years.
