Deliarepa Food Truck Fundraiser

Hello! We are Monica and Bernardo. We are partners in business and life. We have long dreamed of bringing Colombia and Venezuelan food to Missoula, MT, our home of 17 years. We have a small food cart business, named DeliArepa, which we started part time in 2024, and we started it full time in the summer of 2025. We set up our food cart at the Missoula Farmer's Market, outside of breweries and bars, at Turner Farms, at events like Dia De Los Muertos, catering, different festivals, and Out to Lunch. Bernardo has cooked with United We Eat and Dog and Bicycle. We have the opportunity to purchase a fully operational food truck, which would allow us to expand operations and really make a go of this small business that we have dreamed of for years.

We love to share our culture through food with our Missoula friends and family. We want to share a different experience, that isn't found anywhere near Missoula. Arepas are a traditional Colombian and Venezuelan food, and bonus, they are gluten free! We have a small menu now, of stuffed arepas, but we'd love to expand our menu to traditional appetizers and desserts - patacones, empanadas, flan, are a few of the menu items we're excited to add. It's impossible with our current infrastructure, but with a food truck, it's achievable.

Bernardo is the chef of the duo, and loves sharing his food. He has been working on an orange cake. It's far from perfect, but he's enjoying the experience of tweaking the flavor to make it perfect. He loves experimenting with food and loves seeing the reaction with people when they have their first bite of something they've never tried before, and watching their face light up.

Monica is the brains of the operation and has all the outreach skills and the ability to communicate with anyone and bridge languages and cultures. She works as a Customer Medical service and as a medical interpreter in her day job : ) She sources equipment, and she's the one who makes things happen. She is the actual owner of DeliArepa, while Bernardo is the Chef.

Your help will mean that our small business will grow, and we'll be able to share our food with more of the community. Thank you!!
