Delft Challenge sailing for: Seabin in Enkhuizen
Delft Challenge takes a stand against ocean plastics!
As sailors and technical students we are very enthusiastic of technological developments contributing to cleaner oceans and less plastic pollution. The sea is our playing field and a beautiful part of the earth that should be cherished deeply. That’s why Delft Challenge is a proud ambassador of The Seabin Project! Through the funds received for our campaign we wish to raise money to acquire at least 1 Seabin in 2020 and place it in one or multiple harbours in the Netherlands. You can help as well, through this "Go fund me" campaign!
The Seabin contributes to cleaner oceans by removing close to half a ton of floating debris per unit per year. The location of the Seabin in marinas is ideal and where it matters most, close to the source of entry for floating debris. Ports and Marinas are perfect locations to stop floating debris from entering the open ocean and ocean plastics are also brought in by wind and currents.
