Update on my Father, Delfino Flores :
He was released from the hospital in Belize but was told to take it easy. He still needed to go to the Embassy to get his passport before leaving the country. We got their flight booked yesterday and they will be heading home, YAY!!!!, today. They won't land till late evening., 9:30pm. I'm so excited, BUT, he still needs to see his Dr tomorrow and make sure he's doing ok. This was suppose to be a fun trip and it took a turn for the worse. Luckily he had a great Dr & nurses that watche'd over him every second he was there. There was a nurse stationed in his room 24/7 and they were wonderful to him and my family. Makes it so much easier to know he was well taken care of while we're so far away and can't see him. I want to thank EVERYONE for the prayers and for those who kindly donated to this unforeseen, scary & costly ordeal in a country where they expect costs up front. Again, thank you everyone! We can't thank you all enough. ♥️
UPDATE:
FROM MY SISTER THEIR WITH MY DAD:
I want to take the time out to thank everyone who prayed for my father Delfino Flores and kindly donated. Asking for help for a person like me is unspeakable but I personally want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. We were under the impression he was going to need to be medí flighted out of Belize but things are looking up today. His blood numbers have stayed steady for the last couple days and will review again tomorrow to be released.
It has been a very scary and costly ordeal. First off being a country we are unfamiliar with and secondly all the upfront cost we were not prepared for.
We thought we were going to take my parents and go on a nice vacation, somewhere they have not experienced.
Carnival Cruise Line were amazing! Waking up everyone at 4 am asking for blood donations and words can never describe how grateful I am for the 30 plus people that didn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. They had an ambulance ready and waiting to take my daddy to a private hospital : Belize Healthcare Partners. He has had an exceptional team around the clock look after him.
He is still in ICU but looking better each and everyday. If you know my dad he is hard to constrain so he is doing his very best to get the hell out of here! Hoping we get the green light this Tuesday to be released and fly back home to meet his his physicians.
To my brother and sisters Delfino Flores Jr. Alma Flores-Garrison Margie Flores-Kennedy Minerva Flores Green Anabel Flores, and Anissa thank you so much for all the encouraging words because I’m not sure I would have ever been able to make all these hard decisions without you behind me. Love you all
And to my mother Manuela Flores you did amazing staying so strong for dad! We love you!
Not out of the jungle but definitely many steps closer.

Hi, my name is Minerva, one of Delfino Flores's daughters. My sister took our parents on their first time cruise and my Dad got really sick on the ship and had to port in Belize on a life-threatening emergency on Wednesday. He had lost alot of blood and as of today, still not in the clear. He is still bleeding. The bills and amount already paid to the hospital in Belize is outrageous. We are asking for any donations to help with the cost for the medical bills. My sister has done so much just being their with my parents and its hard for us here because we cant see and be with them. We thank God for my family near and far for all the prayers and all coming together as one. Anything is appreciated. Thank you! Please pray for my Dad and our family.
