As some of you know, on Friday night, March 4th, my grandson Leonard Giacobetti, was the victim of a severe car crash. Lenny’s car was struck on Lawrence Rd. in Marple Township, forcing his car to go airborne and rollover 3 times landing upside down. He was rushed by EMS to the trauma center at Lankenau Hospital, where he continues to receive treatment.
Lenny suffered extensive injuries from the accident. Included is, degloving in areas of the scalp and right ear, avulsion of the back and head areas, and lacerations of the scalp, ears, and face. Lenny sits in the hospital where a pressure wound therapy vac is attached to the back of his head at all times.
Lenny has a very long road ahead of him. Surgeries he will be having in the soon and distant future include a right scalp debridement, scalp reconstruction with tissue transfer, as well as full thickness skin grafts.
It is truly a miracle that Lenny is still with us after this accident and that blessing is what will help carry him through his healing. The purpose of this Go FundMe is so Lenny does not have to heal alone. He will obviously be out of work for the foreseeable future, but his living expenses, and medical expenses related to the accident will continue to accumulate.
