DeLara family funeral fund for 16 year old Karina
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Silvia. I am fundraising to help my family pay for my 16 year old sisters unexpected passing. Our family lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and we are currently in Mexico visiting family for the holidays.
Karina Janet DeLara Trinidad, my younger sister, was riding in a car with a friend on her way home when the driver lost control of the car and hit a pole. Tragically, Karina did not survive the crash.
Karina was just about to celebrate her 17th birthday and was taken from us too soon. She worked at La Baguette Bistro in Oklahoma City and was very well liked by her peers. She enjoyed most teenage activities, especially the time spent with me, her 18 year old sister and our 9 year old brother. She especially loved painting and listening to music. Karina was a shining light on all that knew her, full of life, love and beauty. She will be deeply missed by many and our family will always be missing a special piece.
I want to help my parents to try and alleviate the financial burden to help transfer her back to the United States. The funds would also be used to help plan a funeral and burial service to honor her too short but amazing life. We are so grateful for anything you can do for our family. If you are unable to help financially, please send all the prayers you can. We are grateful for our community and loving family and friends.
Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this difficult time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Karina’s story.
