My short film project "Delaney" is officially in post-production. I'm so proud of the small but mighty team I was blessed with. What started as a University Capstone project turned out to be a creative journey that devoured our lives for an entire summer and carried over into the fall.

There were ups and downs, re-writes, re-shoots, 12 hour days, grueling set and costume changes, illnesses, hospital stays, births and deaths (no exaggeration).

Through it all, the story I wrote shed skin, gained wings, and became something entirely different from what I originally imagined- what a gift to witness that transformation- to see an idea of yours grow legs and lungs and become something you never expected. Through the turmoil of creation, I knew what we were doing was special.

So now, we are wrapped and cutting. Along the way, DJ Stroud (who plays Wyatt in the film) and myself completed a final draft of a feature length screenplay for "Delaney". I'm proud to say we are in the process of shopping that 121 page Screenplay to agencies and production companies.

We aim to enter our short film "Delaney" in every film festival that will accept a submission. We aim to get our feature script in front of as many eyes of literary and talent agents and producers as possible...and like everything that costs a lot of money.

We started this fundraiser in hopes of gathering the capitol needed for admission fees and submissions to Screenwriting and Film Competitions and Festivals. WE ARE NOT LOOKING TO FUND THE ACTUAL PROJECT- we have put our own time, money, sweat, blood and tears insuring that we did not need to seek further funding for the actual production of the piece.

We see our script as something worthy of getting made. The short film of "Delaney" is a snapshot of the world and characters of the whole story. A story that created itself around us this past summer...

We will use anything donated here for our own little campaign trail/press run for "Delaney" - a story I truly believe in. Thank You!
