Delaney & Brayden Smiths sudden loss of their Dad
Don protégé
On Saturday April 3, 2021 Delaney and Brayden experienced the tragic loss of their father, John Smith. John’s children were his whole world and his sudden death leaves us grieving for them and the loss of a great man.
John passed at his home before paramedics arrived from Thrombosis of the Left Anterior Descending Coronary Artery, he suffered a massive heart attack.
John was the guy you couldn’t, not like-he was an amazing friend, brother, son, uncle, cousin and and extremely devoted father and a role model whose children were his favorite people.
John didn't just love and support his own kids-he would step up to be there for all the kids. That's just who John was; whether it was stand in-coaching, driving, weekend get togethers, traveling, scorekeeping or cheering on the sidelines, John was always someone you’d be happy to have in your corner.
John was excelling in his career, just got a promotion at work and was looking forward to building a future in his new home with his girlfriend and their children.
John's presence made a huge difference in my life and in my family's life and for those of you that know Brayden and Delaney -they are beyond special people. They will persevere and continue to make their dad proud.
Delaney will graduate Park Vista High School and is off to FSU in the fall. John admired Delaney and would tell me that she is the only one who can tell him what to do:) Brayden is turning 15 and just about ready to drive; John's dedication to Brayden's love of lacrosse, computers, working out, karate and more are some of his best memories.
We are asking for donations to help alleviate some of the financial burden they will face and to help them to live with as much normalcy as possible. The funds collected will be provided directly to them for any needs that may arise.
John will truly be missed and live forever in our hearts.
His family is grateful for the heartfelt sympathy and prayers you have all sent.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
