K. Delaine Smith, 71, passed away on 6 Feb 2021 from complications of Crohn’s Disease. She was born on 25 Mar 1949 to the late Eldon and Lavaun Fite in Twin Falls, ID.

She will always be remembered as a hard working woman and devoted mother.  She worked for many years at the Fairfield Senior Center as a cook and bookkeeper.  While in Nampa she became a fixture at the Northwest Nazarene University’s cafeteria staff.  While she loved co-workers, she adored being with and serving the students, many who saw her as their own surrogate grandmother. She loved hunting and fishing, especially fishing with Mike on their boat. She was a life long, creative, and skilled crafter.  Additionally, she was prolific gardener and canner, who likely gave away far more food than she kept. She also had a twisted sense of humor that she shared with her sisters, which has been inherited by her children, nieces, and nephews.

Her Crohn's Disease had taken a toll on her health for many years that lead to surgeries and extend hospital stays. She fought with everything she had until the end.  Her wish was for a private service for spreading of her ashes.

Those that would like to give a gift are encouraged to make a donation to her go fund me page to assist her family with her funeral expenses, and excess funds will be donated to her nephew to help with his own fight with Crohns Disease.
