Delbert Orr Africa of MOVE 9 needs you!

Donation protected

Delbert Africa entered the Ancestral Realm in June 15, 2020, but hundreds of political prisoners still need to come home!
My father, Delbert Orr Africa, was a political prisoner from the MOVE Organization that was wrongfully imprisoned for nearly 42 years. Although he finally got paroled on Saturday, January 18th, he faced some serious health issues that required immediate treatment long before his release in January 2020.

Help is bring our family members home. From learning how to use a smartphone to obtaining clothing and furniture for them, there's much to do in order to get our second chance citizens stabilized.

I would greatly appreciate your financial support by donating to my GoFundMe campaign in honor of my Daddy D, the MOVE Organization and the Indigenous Community Service Center; a nonprofit working to get prisoners released due to the horrific conditions they’re facing during the pandemic.

Thank you in advance for your consideration!

BACKGROUND:
MOVE is a revolutionary liberation organization that has faced extreme state repression for decades, most notably in 1985 when the City of Philadelphia dropped a bomb on their home. In 1978, a prior altercation led to 9 Black members of MOVE being wrongfully convicted and sentenced to 30-100 years in prison. After 41 years of organizing for their freedom, 5 members of the MOVE 9 were recently released on parole. My dad is one of 2 that had remained in prison, while 2 others previously died in state custody.
