Del Thomas

Hi everyone! My name is Natalie and I have been lucky enough to spend my entire life with the Thomas Family (and vice versa). Delbert Thomas has been an extremely impactful person in my life. From being my coach to introducing me to ACDC, he has always supported me and I would love to do the same for him during this difficult time. This fundraiser will be used for medical expenses as well as any modifications and adaptive equipment he might need when he returns home.

A little backstory...

On Dec 26th, Del found out he had an abdominal aortic aneurysm that ruptured. He was flown flight for life to St. Luke's in Milwaukee where he had emergency surgery to repair the rupture.

On 12/27, he had to have another emergency surgery to fix some blood clots to get blood flow to his legs. On 12/28 he still wasn't getting any blood to his left leg, so he required yet another surgery for a below-knee amputation on 12/29.

The tissue from the amputation was not healing well, so he had to have another surgery for an above-knee amputation on 1/20.

He has been in the hospital for 5+ weeks now and continues to require medical attention and therapy to help him prepare for his new way of living. The medical bills continue to increase, and there will be a lot more that needs to be done once he is out of the hospital. After everything Del and his family have gone through the past 5+ weeks, I would love to give them a little relief- they deserve it. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this!
