On June 30th, 2022, Deken Strong passed away unexpectedly due to a car accident where he struck a tree. Unfortunately, his injuries were unsurvivable, and he passed at the scene of the accident. His life was cut far too short, and this loss has left both family and friends without words.

 

Deken was always full of humor and his antics could light up any room. He loved always being with friends, playing soccer, and working on his trucks; driving his favorite one right up to the end. He got to enjoy every last moment, much as many enjoyed every last moment with him.

 

Deken was always around to help me, my family, and all of our friends whenever asked, despite the occasional grumbling; he was someone that we always counted on. Even through his passing he continued to lend a hand; doctors were able to recover numerous organs and tissues that were donated to so many people in need. Those blue eyes are still beaming, continuing to light up the lives of the countless people that will see them.

 

Having never been a complicated person, we would like to keep Deken's memorial service in much the same fashion. There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony for Deken on August 27, 2022. This will be a celebration of all the wonderful memories that he gave to us; where we can eat, laugh, and reminisce about the wonderful life that he had, and the incredible time that he gave to all of us.

 

Many have asked if there was a place to donate money, so we are setting up this GoFundMe so that anyone can do just that. Money donated will go towards funding Deken's Celebration of Life so that he can be remembered as he would have wanted.
