Deke's Market Flood Fund

It was the morning of August the 21st, when I arrived at my store. Upon arrival I saw that the disaster that occurred 4 months ago has repeated. The street was broken, there was water spraying everywhere, gushing into my store through the side door. To say that I was devastated is an understatement. We had just reopened 20 days ago, the grand reopening was supposed to happen next weekend, and most  importantly, all of my employees had just started to get into the groove of working again, and were no longer stressed about having to find another job, so that they could pay their rent on time every month. Here at Deke's Market, we treat each other like family, and when one family member is hurting, we do everything in our power to help. Within minutes of me arriving to the store and sending a message to my workers that we were shutdown once again, the employees showed up to the store and immediately got to work to move water out of the building.

We are calling on you, the community that holds us near and dear to your heart. It's hard enough to run a small business such as ours, but it is even harder to stay up and running when we are beset by floods one after another, shutting us down for months. Our insurance company can only do so much when it comes to this for the second time. We want to get back up on our feet running, we do not want to be down for as long as we were last time, and any donations that you can make will help with expediting that timeline. Donations will go to our employees to keep them here and working for us, replacing damaged goods, help cover the repairs, and most importantly, get us back open again and serving you, our loyal customers who we care so deeply for. We wouldn't be around if it weren't for you, and we are asking for your help to stay around.
