Help Wendy and Joe Recover Together

Wendy and I have been friends since we were 12 years old and she's always been there for others, a quick wit and a strong work ethic, no fear, strong faith and a lot of friends she cares about. She is always on the go running to a kid sporting event, sometimes not even her own kids, cooking for football players on Sundays and volunteering or working. About a month ago Wendy made a few lifestyle changes to be a kidney donor for an old classmates’ fiancé. She is usually "happy to help" however she can.

Recently Wendy suffered a life-threatening fall leaving her with two fractured vertebrae, damaged ligaments and the inability to work, especially not her two part time jobs that she loves as a Transfer asst for Bradshaw funeral homes, picking up the deceased and her newest pull tab seller gig at local places like Mac's N. St. Paul, Dukes in Oakdale, Foxhole bingo and more. She is in a neck collar for at least 6-8 weeks, learning to slow down, rest and heal.

A week after Wendy's accident, her husband Joe was hit from behind by a drunk driver that left the scene. Their car is totaled, Joe is okay but has whiplash and a few nasty bone bruises to recover from.

We'd really like to help these two with any medical or insurance bills that may pop up on top of daily living expenses. Any little bit helps and will mean the world to them not to have to worry about expenses while Wendy recovers and Joe, family and friends take care of her, their house and their great dog Dudley.
