On June 17th, 2018 Dejuan was in the wrong pace at the wrong time. He arrived to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, suffereing severe injuries including the loss of 75% of his right lung, a broken sternum, pneumothorax, 15 blood transfusions, and removal of 4 ribs. After 3 days in a coma and 3 surgeries (one being the removal of a bullet lodged next to his spine), he was released from the hospital, and is now needing support in hopes of getting into a rehabilitation program. Dejuan is under immense pressure with the task of re learning simple - everyday task, supporting himself and his family, and now the added weight of lifesaving medical bills.
