Today I, Wajid Hassan is here with a wretched heart writing about one of my closest friends who is battling between life and death. His name is Khalid Qadir who at a very young and bright age holding hundreds of dreams in his dazzling eyes like every individual, now has a devastating life with cancer. Khalid was a full-of-spirit 35-year-old guy, who was working in Dubai when he suddenly got the news of being diagnosed with blood cancer.

What broke me was that upon the diagnosis, the doctors reported that the cancer had advanced and would require treatment right away. My buddy is currently admitted to Ziauddin Hospital Karachi, Pakistan, where he has been suggested for chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and other procedures that require a vast amount of money.

Khalid was a pillar of the family, who was the only support for people who were dependent on him. The family’s financial and emotional well-being has greatly been affected due to Khalid's declining health. I am here to announce that cancer is not only eating Khalid but also his family, which saddens me even more.

My biggest fear is losing Khalid to hopelessness rather than cancer. I don’t want Khalid to be affected by this misery, so it is important to get him treated at a good hospital where Khalid’s physical and mental well-being is considered. I am now urgently collecting a total of 15k dollars so his treatment can start.

Seeing my friend fighting for his life is very painful in itself so I am here leaving a request heavy-heartedly to gain funds for him. This post is a call to action because I believe dejection kills more than cancer and I don’t want Khalid to lose hope from his life. So be with me in this journey of giving Khalid his gleaming days back.
