Hello!! I'm Alice. I'm a trans girl that's a student, streamer and speedrunner. I'm sure many of you know me ^.^ I've been out for a while now and I'm finally mentally prepared for surgery so that I can live my life. I've already gone through the process of finding and consulting with a surgeon, checking my mental preparedness with mental health professionals, and general trans health related care with my doctor. The final step is just raising the money to fund the surgery itself!
The figure we're trying to raise is a full breakdown of all associated costs, as detailed below:
- The surgeon himself is in California, and therefore I will need to fly there and have included tickets both there and back.
- I am not allowed to travel for 3 weeks after surgery during recovery, so about half the cost we're trying to raise is covering housing for 3 weeks in California to recover safely.
- 3 weeks worth of nutritious food to try to recover to the best of my ability.
- And the surgery itself, of which insurance should cover all but $2000
The $10,00 is already a lot to ask of people to begin with, but if we do happen to go over it will go towards extra food and entertainment, possibly things like movies or games to do in bed because I will be on bed rest for about 3 weeks total.
If you're here from my stream itself, I will be providing streaming incentives to make donations a little more enticing. I will detail those on the stream itself, but one that I'm most excited for is something along the lines of Alice-a-thon where I will try to speedrun every game that I know back to back in the same stream.
The date of the surgery itself is May 28th, 2023~!
