In 2021, at 29 years old, Deja was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, grade 3. During her first appointment with her oncologist, it was recommended that she started chemotherapy treatment referred to as “the red devil.” It did not sit right in our spirits, so she declined to start chemotherapy and decided to have the tumor removed by way of a double mastectomy (the removing of both breast). The tumor had grown to 11cm by the time it was removed!

Three months after surgery, she was still in pain. We found out the cancer had spread to her spine and was the cause of the paralyzing pain that prevented her from walking, driving, sleeping… anything a normal 30-year-old should be able to do. At that time, we met with a radiologist who suggested 5 rounds of radiation to help with the pain. In combination with the radiation sessions, her oncologist has tried various oral cancer meds that have all caused unimaginable side effects. The cancer did not go away.

In November of 2022, Deja decided to experience holistic healing at USHA Village, the late great Dr. Sebi’s village that is known to have healed many people of different diseases. It was a great experience but because her body can no longer drain properly (due to her lymph nodes being removed during her double mastectomy) her left breast became enlarged and appeared to be infected. A month after returning to the states, Deja had a biopsy on a lump that formed in her chest that was confirmed cancerous.

She recently had another surgery on February 1st to remove the expanders from her chest and will need to start treatment for the cancer. Her oncologist has deemed her stage 4, with incurable metastasized cancer. The cancer has now evolved to triple negative which can be more difficult to treat vs. her original diagnosis as ER+.

Luckily, an old colleague sent Deja a TikTok video of a physician that had been “curing” cancer since the 70s! Turns out, his practice is located in Houston, TX… 20 minutes from her home. The Burzynski Clinic, has proven to treat cancer patients very successfully for the last 45 years using non-toxic antineoplastons & has helped many patients get completely cancer-free from different types of cancer. Their therapies are cutting-edge targeted therapies that shut cancer down at the genetic level, and it works throughout the entire body. Unfortunately, because of government regulations, this clinic cannot accept medical insurances from their patients at this time which makes the treatment VERY expensive.

a. $1,250.00 - Consultation fee

b. $7,000.00 - Medical & Laboratory deposit

c. $15,000.00 - $35, 000 - Medication costs (in some cases cost may exceed this range)

d. $7,000 - Monthly Case Management Fee

There will be additional expenses associated with this difficult situation. Total Cost of treatment will be around $180,000.

Many people have called me “strong” for going through this journey, but the truth is I am strong because of the love and support that surrounds me through my family and friends.

Who would have thought after 4 months of marriage and 2 months before my 30th birthday, my entire world be flipped upside down. It has been one HELL of a roller coaster but what has remained constant, are the texts, calls, visits, hugs, gifts, and the swarms of “this causes cancer” Instagram videos. LOL

I have never questioned God’s plans, nor will I start which is why I continue to walk around with a smile on my face. I know that my journey will help and inspire others to get through their battles and that is rewarding enough. But please do not confuse my faith and positiveness with thinking I do not struggle, it has been extremely DIFFICULT dealing with constant agonizing pain, lack of being independent, sticking to super strict non-carb/sugar diets, losing my boobs entirely, not being able to workout, cancelling plans with friends at the last minute, seeing my family worry about me, inability to cuddle (or do other things lol) with my husband...it has SUCKED. We will get through this though..Claiming it!
