Mike is such a loving husband, father and grandpa and has certainly been through a lot with his health in the last several years. He has been a fighter and overcomer time and time again and is now facing a new battle with his health after being diagnosed with Cancer in July, 2024.

Mike and his wife Melanie have made so many sacrifices attempting to financially provide for his treatments and lifestyle changes, but they are in need of support to help make his healing possible. Update 9/9/24 - It's heartbreaking and unreal to make this update but Mike has passed away and left to be with Jesus on Saturday Sept 7th. It is hard to believe that only 7 weeks ago Mike was healthy and going on 10 mile hikes with his daughter Mikaela as they were training to hike the Grand Canyon together with our church in October. Mike's cancer journey was quick and aggressive as it began by feeling a small lump on his neck in late July and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer by August 23rd.

Mike was surrounded by love during his final days and although he was sad to leave his family he mentioned several times how he was ready to go see Jesus. Our family is so grateful for the financial blessings all of you have given to help alleviate the financial burden that comes with this terrible disease. We begin this new journey with grief and have been so incredibly blessed with all of the support of our community. We are beginning to work on arrangements to celebrate Mike's life here in the next couple of weeks and will provide details soon.
