Defying the Nazis: Amelie's VR Experience

We are inviting you to participate in a once in a lifetime fundraiser to create a life changing state of the art hologram of Holocaust survivor Amelie Diamant-Holmstrom, one of the children Martha Sharp rescued in 1940 from Nazi occupied Europe. As seen in Defying the Nazis: The Sharps' War, Amelie and her two sisters were brought to America in a courageous life altering rescue that brought them from southern France to the United States. Martha Sharp met Amelie and her sisters in Marseille and guided them through the Pyrenees, to Lisbon where they boarded a ship to the United States. This project began in 2018 when Metastage holographically recorded a conversation between Amelie and her son Eric Holmstrom. In this conversation, Amelie touches on her life's happiest and hardest memories, the challenges and joys she has faced over nearly a century of life, and reflects on the lessons and values she hopes to share with future generations. With your help we are seeking to raise $350,000 with the vision of creating a state of the art 3D hologram that will change the lives of students and families with the power of personal courage and how intergenerational storytelling can change our reality. The funds we are seeking now represent the home stretch of brining this project to completion. Donors of any amount can help bring this project to school children around the world and for their support will be featured in the credits of the final project. Additionally, donors of $1000 or more are eligible for a tax deduction through No Limits Media. Once this project has been completed we will look to distribute it to schools, festivals, museums, and other educational venues where Amelie's story can be shared. We have a rare opportunity to bring the life experience and stories of a Holocaust survivor to the public in a first person and interactive format that will last forever.
