Defray some medical costs

I am fundraising for my mom. Martha Volker. Martha selflessly sacrificed countless years working at Exxon to properly provide for her family. The year 2014 was a rollercoaster and ocean wave of intense uncertainty and emotion. This was the year that Mrs Martha (Mama)had went into a local outpatient surgical clinic in order to undergo the removal of her thyroid. There was an unexpected life-altering, and unnecessary change for her to wake up to- she had an emergency tracheotomy procedure during the routine outpatient surgery. Not to mention the fact that she had no voice for nearly a year, our family became very adept at reading lips, subsequently translating for her in various hospital rooms with doctors and nurses. An excruciatingly long and poverty stricken battle, she kept to secrecy and sought no unfamilial assistance. She began to improve. During her improvement, her mother who was diagnosed with lung cancer, came to live with her, so Martha could assist as caretaker. Martha did this until her mothers battle with lung cancer ended in July 2017.Martha has been hospitalized repeatedly in the past years. That doesn't include EMT visits either. Martha is usually hospitalized twice a year for pneumatic complications of the tracheotomy. As things were becoming more hopeful for Martha, like a shot firing from a gun, we were yet again stopped in our tracks.
Martha was then diagnosed with Stage 2 lung cancer. She had daily trips to Baton Rouge for radiation treatments and doctor visits for months. The trips took a big toll on her financially and emotionally. She completed all treatments and was told she was in remission. Then a 6 months later she is diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic liver cancer. Once again she will be going to Baton Rouge daily for radiation treatment as she cannot have chemotherapy because of anaphylaxis. After her 2nd round she was almost dead. Martha needs any kind of generous assistance .Her treatments are not a cure all but a prolongation of life. We have raised enough for the transportation costs. She still needs to raise the copays for the immunotherapy. Thank you all for your care , concern, and prayers.
