St Laurence Pre School would like to raise funds to purchase a Defibrillator for our setting. Every 3 years we update our Paediatric First Aid Training and after completing our most recent training course, the importance of having this equipment within our setting had to be a must! With the increasing numbers of allergies and children experiencing seizures having the comfort of having a defibrillator on site would give peace of mind to any family and first aider in the event of an emergency. The safety and care for our children has always been priority and with this amazing piece of equipment we will be able to increase the survival rate in the event of an emergency. For every minute that someone’s is in cardiac arrest without receiving CPR and having a defibrillator used on them, their chance of survival decreases by 10%.
