Defibrillator for The Sir Loin of Beef & local community

Hi,

I am Bethan. I am a nurse who is raising money towards the purchase of a life saving defibrillator that will be placed outside of the Sir Loin of Beef Public House in Southsea.

This is the second time I have raised money for a defibrillator in Southsea and it is a cause I very much believe in. In 2022 I was in the King Street Tavern when a gentleman suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite being able to administer CPR I was not able to save his life, which may have been possible with a defibrillator.

Pubs are great places for these to be installed because they are well known in the local community making access to them easier and quicker for anyone who sadly may be in need.

So on the 19th October I will run the Great South Run. 10 miles for me but possible a life for someone else.

If we raise more than the £2000 required, the remaining money will be used for the continued upkeep of the de-fib and/or donated to help others in need of life saving equipment.
