Defibrillator for our school and its kids

Captains Flat, NSW is 60 kilometers from the nearest emergency room that treats children and a 30+ minute ambulance call out, so there can be delays in receiving medical attention.
The school would like a defibrillator as part of their first aid kit so assist in those situations where life hangs in the balance. These cost approx $3000 depending on the type purchased.
The schools P&C offered to raise money to buy this vital piece of equipment, to ensure that in the worst case scenarios the children at Captains Flat Public School can receive the help they might need.
The defibrillator would also be available for the wider community if needed as the school will share it with anyone who might need it.
Any assistance you can provide in helping us achieve this goal would be greatly appreciated by the P&C, the school and the children in our community.
Update - St John's ACT have offered to donate a machine to us. The school is working with them to arrange this. These funds will be used to purchase a cabinet to securely house the machine which will allow the wider community to access (via a pin #). We will also buy a supply of pads and other equipment to go with the machine. And donate any remaining money to St John's ACT so they can continue to assist others.
