“Having a defibrillator at hand can increase the chance of survival from around 10% with only good effective CPR, up to 80% with a defibrillator at hand for immediate use”.

 

I will be riding around the Midlands (approx 110 miles) on 5th August 2022 to raise money for a defib to be fitted and maintenance funds. We recently lost a member due to a heart attack. I have heart disease myself so felt it would be a great benefit for myself, gym members and the local community to greatly increase people’s chances of survival due to heart failure.

 

The more we raise the longer the Defib can be in service. It costs approx. each time it’s used £63 and to maintain a year approx. £100 (battery)*
