Help Us Save Lives at Rye Watersports Lake
Here are Flogo we are passionate about sports and the outdoors. We need your help to raise £2,500 for a lifesaving defibrillator for the Rye Watersports Lake (RWS) – for both adults and children.
Nestled in the heart of our community, Rye Watersports lake has been part of the Rye and Camber community since 1986. To this day it is a place of joy, energy, and togetherness. Every week, families, friends, clubs, and adventurers come together to enjoy paddleboarding, windsurfing, sailing, swimming, and more. But with all that fun on the water, there's also risk – and we want to be prepared.
Why RWS Need a Defibrillator
Cardiac arrests can happen to anyone, at any time – even to young, healthy, active people. When they do, every second counts. A defibrillator can increase the chances of survival by over 70% if used within the first few minutes.
Our goal is to purchase and install an automated external defibrillator (AED) that can be used on both adults and children. We also want it to be easily accessible and clearly marked at the lake, so it can be found quickly in an emergency.
Who Will It Help?
- Local families enjoying a weekend on the water
- Kids learning to paddleboard, windsurf, or sail
- Club members training regularly
- Spectators and visitors
- Anyone nearby during an emergency
How You Can Help
We’re aiming to raise £2,500 to cover the cost of:
- A dual-use defibrillator (for both adult and child use)
- A secure, weatherproof, and accessible cabinet
- Installation and signage
No donation is too small. Whether it's £2 or £200, every bit gets us closer to being able to respond in a moment of crisis – and potentially save a life.
Donate today and help us make our lake a safer place for everyone.
Thank you for being part of our watersports community. With your help, we can make sure everyone who comes here can enjoy the water knowing that life-saving help is close by.
Together, we can make a difference.
Stay safe, stay active – and thank you for your support
