Greetings, sisters and brothers, comrades and friends!

I need your support for this GoFundMe campaign to defend independent investigative journalism and the First Amendment.

Some of you know that I've been writing about Dr. Greg St. Claire, a Michigan anesthesiologist formerly at the University of Michigan Health Sparrow who allegedly poisoned his Haitian American wife, Cassandra Fameux, with antipsychotic drugs for nine years.

He allegedly first got a colleague at the hospital, Dr. Dominic Barberio, to diagnose Ms. Fameux as schizophrenic with bipolar disorder to pave the way for the drugging.

Dr. St. Claire allegedly got Ms. Fameux to sign a Judgment of Separate Maintenance (JOSM) that transferred 100% of marital assets--millions of dollars and two homes--to him while she was under the influence of the drugs, on February 20, 2018. (However, in 2015, the Probate court had granted Dr. St. Claire's motion to declare Ms. Fameux incompetent; yet the court never appointed a Guardian Ad Litem for her as required by law prior to her signing a document like the JOSM).

I have written several articles about the case for Black Star News. On February 28, 2024, the University of Michigan fired Dr. St. Claire. His dismissal is shrouded in secrecy and duplicity because the he and the university executed a non-disclosure agreement.

Dr. St. Claire filed a frivolous lawsuit against me and Black Star News. My thoroughly documented journalism shows that he has no legs to stand on.

Most importantly, after six months of investigating Ms. Fameux's allegations of poisoning, the Meridian Township Police, in Okemos, MI, recommended that Dr. St. Claire be criminally prosecuted. The Ingham County Prosecutor in Lansing, MI, declined to press charges.

Meanwhile, on November 30, 2025, I reported and published an article showing that in order to uphold the JOSM, which was void since no Guardian Ad Litem had been appointed for Ms. Fameux in 2018, Dr. St. Claire, his divorce attorney Jessica Larson, and the judge who presided over the divorce, Judge Carol N. Koenig, schemed and fabricated a non-existent GAL.

I also reported this apparent fraud upon the court to Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, State Attorney General Dana Nessel, the Ingham Prosecutor Dewane, the Department of Justice and the FBI.

In May 2026, Larson parted ways with her firm Mallory Lapka Scott & Selin and soon thereafter the entire firm shut down.

My journalism has produced concrete results.

The trial date for the defamation case was scheduled for July 20, 2026 and I was looking forward to it since the journalism is solid.

Then on July 8, 2026 the court entered a default judgment against me because purportedly my responses to interrogatory questions by Dr. St. Claire's lawyer Chris Newberg was late.

I submitted them to my own attorney on June 26, 2026; the deadline was June 24.

I had a valid reason for the delay. I discovered that every e-mail I had exchanged with St. Claire's divorce lawyer Larson (from November 2023 to November 2025) and with his defamation attorney Newberg (from May 2024 to January 2025) had been deleted from my Gmail system by a hacker. I reported this apparent crime to the FBI and the NYPD and asked my lawyer to inform Judge Morgan Cole who is handling the defamation trial in the hope that I would get more time--I'm not even sure if she ever did.

Since Dr. St. Claire had already been awarded the default, the jury awarded him a $12 money award without even hearing the merits of the defamation case itself.

Fortunately, I have already filed a motion to have the default set-aside (which would also make the money judgment void) and I have a court date of October 7, 2026 to hear my motion.

I wrote the motion myself but I would prefer that it be properly written by an attorney who would also represent me on the date of the court appearance.

My journalism has brought this case a long way and helped push for Justice for CassandraFameux.

With your contributions I will be able to get an attorney before October 7 to continue the journey.
