For more than 20 years, our American flag has flown proudly from our garage door frame without incident. It has never created a safety hazard, blocked access, or interfered with maintenance. Now our HOA is demanding that we remove it. This isn't about refusing to follow reasonable rules. We believe this is about preserving the right to display the American flag in our own community and ensuring that HOA rules are enforced fairly and consistently.

Over the past several months, we've spent countless hours researching the law, gathering historical HOA records, obtaining contractor statements, collecting evidence, and communicating with the board in an effort to resolve this matter without litigation. Our hearing is scheduled for June 30. We hope the board will reconsider its position, but if it does not, we may have no choice but to seek legal representation to protect what we believe are our rights. Attorney fees can quickly become overwhelming. Rather than allowing financial pressure to determine whether we can continue, we're asking for help from those who believe this issue matters.

Any funds raised will be used solely for legal expenses related to this dispute, including attorney consultations, court filing fees, litigation costs if necessary, and other expenses directly associated with defending our case.
