Did you know that the average age of sexually exploited persons is 13-15? In Canada, a single victim is worth $280 000 / year. Indigenous women are most at risk to sexual exploitation. From Trafalgar road to Guelph Line, 60 girls are sold into sexual exploitation everyday.  As a group at HDCH, in an effort to implement legal and social change regarding sexual exploitation, we’ve started a GoFundMe linked below, to raise money for defend dignity baskets. Defend dignity is a national organization that provides support and care for individuals who have been sexually exploited. These bags include: gift cards, soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, blankets, shoes, etc. For more information visit defenddignity.ca, the defend dignity website. We’ve started a GoFundme page to raise money for to purchase items for relief bags to give to victims coming off the streets.
