Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Our beloved Louis, a bright and courageous 6-year-old, has recently been diagnosed with neuroblastoma. This life-changing diagnosis has brought many challenges, but we are committed to ensuring he receives the best possible care and support during this journey.

To meet his needs, Louis will be homeschooled by his mother while they will need to travel once or twice weekly for doctor visits. Those visits include the cleaning and redressing of his central line and blood tests. My husband will be traveling with them for his monthly chemotherapy treatments from South Florida to Orlando for visits that last a week at a time. This process is expected to last at least two years, requiring ongoing travel and financial commitment.

This will impact not only Louis but also his twin sister, Lilliana. To protect his health, it has been decided that she will also be homeschooled to minimize exposure to common illnesses. While this decision prioritizes Louis’ safety, it has added to the challenges our family faces, from balancing homeschooling for both children to managing the financial demands of medical, travel, and education expenses.

While my husband and I share the financial burden with his mother, the medical expenses and necessary adjustments to his care are significant. We’re reaching out to our community to help us lighten this load so we can focus on what matters most: supporting Louis in this battle.

Louis is a fighter, and we’ve explained to him that cancer is like the final boss in a video game—a tough opponent that he can beat with the right tools, strategy, and support. He’s embraced this perspective with bravery, ready to tackle each challenge head-on, knowing that his family and community are here to help him win this fight. All we want is to give him the tools he needs to defeat this “final boss” and reclaim his childhood.
