Hi, Deesh here :) I’m reaching out for help to raise £12,821 for urgent ankle reconstruction surgery that I desperately need to avoid permanent leg damage.

⚽ What Happened

Last year I tore a tendon in my ankle while playing football. What the NHS told me was a simple sprain turned out to be a complete tendon tear as well as a minor bone fracture in my ankle. Those close to me know how much pain I've been in everyday for the past year. After multiple consultations, I’ve been told I need two procedures: Reconstruction of the Lateral Collateral Ligament Complex and Multiple Arthroscopic Operations on ankle or “ankle surgery” for my fellow none medical friends.

These operations are key in preventing the injury from worsening and causing permanent damage to my calf muscle and mobility, giving me permanent limp.

Why I Need Private Surgery

The NHS waiting list is over a year long for this type of surgery. But I can’t afford to wait — every month that passes increases the risk of irreversible complications. I’ve found a private clinic that can do the procedure sooner, but the total cost is £12,821 — including the surgery, hospital stay, and 6 months of post-op rehab.
