Deeqo Abdullahi Deeria

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return).

We are fundraising for Deeqo Abdullahi Deria who passed away on 18/5/2025 in Leicester, UK. Deeqo was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Deeqo was an incredibly gentle and humble person who always spread kindness and love. Everyone who knew Deeqo or crossed paths with her will tell you the same; that she was a truly wonderful person. After speaking to her or even after seeing her smile, a person would always leave feeling much better. Deeqo would always ask how a person was doing and was always ready to help and support those around her, regardless of her own circumstances.

Our beloved Prophet (SAW) told us: “When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased)” [Muslim].

Deeqo leaves behind 4 children, the youngest of whom is still very young.

The money we raise will be used to build wells and make donations to masjids in Somalia as well supporting orphans which is something Deeqo did regularly, as a means for sadaqah jaariyah for her. Deeqo was a very generous and charitable person. May Allah (swt) accept all of your donations.

We are not only benefiting Deeqo by raising money, charity will also benefit us. Imagine every person who drinks water from that well? SubhanAllah. The rewards are truly unimaginable! May Allah (swt) reward every person who donates and bless them and their families with khair (goodness).

May Allah (swt) have mercy on habiyar Deeqo (auntie Deeqo). May Allah (swt) grant her Jannatul Firdous (the highest rank of paradise). May Allah (swt) protect her young children and always protect them and keep them guided. May Allah (swt) grant her family, friends and all those who knew her patience during this very difficult time. Ameen.
