Deep Cuts is a New Orleans festival happening on September 30th at Dark Matter 3116 St. Claude celebrating BIPOC* musicians and artists who have broken out of the confines of popular music and have delved into the realm of experimentation.
*refers to those who also identify as Black/African descent, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, or Indigenous
About:
While not all musicians invited to play are punk in genre, the festival maintains a punk ethos through the DIY desire to create space for BIPOC, queer, trans and GNC folks to express their collective and
individual visions of blackness, brownness, and queerness that is often, overshadowed by white contemporaries.
Deep Cuts is a healing space for all, including allies who are willing to listen more than speak.
