I am beginning this page to support Chris, Amanda, Gabe and Liv during this journey through Lung Transplant to perfect recovery!! We are claiming the #PerfectMatch #PerfectRecovery for Chris. UPDATE: We are THRILLED to share Chris underwent lung transplant on 7/7/2019 at UTSW. We have prayed for the #PerfectMatch. Please join us in continuing to pray for Chris during his recovery, for his family, medical team and for the precious gift from his donor and the donor's family.
7/17/2019: Chris is walking up stairs!! This is so major I am in tears as I type this! I don't remember the last time he could walk up any stairs without being out of breath. Maybe two years ago at the earliest! We are so grateful for your love and support of this page. Please feel free to share this page as we work to support The Hughes family over the many months of recovery to come! XO-Melody

Chris and Amanda both will be off work for some time. Both Chris' JCPenney team and Amanda's McKinney ISD families have been awesome! All donations will go directly to Chris and Amanda for such things as (but not limited to): food, household needs, everyday living expenses, various daily needs, loss of wages and medical expenses related to their #LungTransplant journey. Chris will be home until 1/2020.
