Deenene & Trent Monts Family Of 5 House Fire
The Monts Family House Fire
Deenene and Trent Monts, their 2 daughters/Megan and Mckenzie, and Nana Toni need your help with recovery. While at work this week they came home to find that their entire home was lost to a fire. Fortunately there was no loss of life or injury and no one was home during the fire, but they are currently without clothing, bedding and basic need items. They still don’t know how the fire started because no one was home it appears to have started in the kitchen since it has the most damage. Windows and ceiling fixtures and doors melted with the intense heat and the door to the grandkids playroom melted off the hinges.
The insurance company will be making some accommodations for lodging until a full assessment of their home is completed. They have pets and have stayed a few nights among family and friends but the goal is to find a temporary home so they can all be under 1 roof together
Deenene and Trent are 2 of the most generous and genuinely kind people you could ever know. I am humbled to know them She has been a Hospice Nurse for over 25 years, providing compassionate heartfelt care to her dying patients and their families. Anyone who knows Trent knows that even after he went through colon cancer and surgeries that if you call him and need help— he shows up ... AND will give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. Now it’s our turn to show THEM how much WE care.
If you know this family then you know that they have endured tragedy after tragedy and loss in their family. Anything that we can do to ease this crisis for them and allow them to cope a little easier with just basic daily needs would be a heartfelt gesture of kindness and generosity while they get themselves into a temporary home. I would estimate it’s going to take several months at a minimum before they are in a permanent home again.
They will need to replace everything and I walk through my home and think, “They don’t have towels for everybody or a washer/dryer to clean them, pillows, blankets, underwear, coats, socks. They borrowed a mattress for tonight. They can’t go change into their comfy PJs and relax or slip under that fuzzy blanket she got for Christmas. She has to work—What will she wear to work? What about even toiletries or makeup these young girls love to use, a hair dryer?! Megan is in Nursing school and taking classes online. Her laptop is ruined..... !” Everything I touch or do, things I take for granted as I get dressed in the morning, they will have to go out and replace. Hopefully some memories and photos will be salvaged but that doesn’t help them get through the day to day living that needs to be done
THEY NEED EVERYTHING!
Please give what you can and if you can’t give, then please SHARE this with anyone you know... work, church, organizations that could give as a group. Anything will help.
Please contact me (Julie OReilly) through GoFundMe or Facebook if you need a contact person. They are overwhelmed with all the phone calls and questions with all that’s going on and I will be coordinating other efforts with friends and family.
