On 2nd February 2026 I will be flying to Bangaluru, India for 6 weeks to volunteer in Deenabandhu, a children's home. My daughter, Sophie, will be joining me for some time in February to offer her skills to the Trust.

Deenabandhu is a voluntary organisation committed to the welfare of orphaned and destitute children from all castes, creeds, and religions. The home houses 40 boys and 40 girls who may otherwise be deprived of parental care or shelter. The organisation also runs a school for neighboring villages offering education to children from underprivileged backgrounds

For me this will be a chance to make the most of a new freedom, to travel and to lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself. After a lifetime of comfort, this will be a challenge at all levels.

The home and school depend on sponsorship and donations to give these children, irrespective of their circumstances, the opportunity and environment to grow to their full potential.
