Hi GoFundMe - my name is Alisha Young and I am Deena Morrison’s niece. On behalf of the family, we are deeply saddened to share this update:

On November 18th, Deena had a significant fall that brought her to Mercy Hospital in Redding, California. Her condition rapidly declined and is at the end of her life.

As of November 26th, she is surrounded by friends and family in hospice care - we are keeping her as comfortable as possible and are completely devastated.

We are reading heartfelt messages, sharing stories of our favorite memories to Deena as she sleeps. All of the kind words that have been expressed are greatly appreciated and mean so much.

We are now preparing for the next step - which includes funeral expenses, travel costs and funds for unpaid time off during this difficult time…and we’re asking for your help. Anything given will be without a doubt be appreciated more than you know.

11/28 UPDATE: Deena Jewel Morrison, passed away on November 26th in the evening surrounded by loving family.

Right now, Alex and Rianna are working to organize and fulfill Deena’s wishes.
