Help Deena Blas with medical and living expenses
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Randia and I am raising money to help Deena Blas.
In December of 2021, my dear friend Deena Blas and her four daughters, Whitney, Sydney, Tiffany, and Kalani lost their husband/father to a sudden heart attack at the age of 52.
Since that time Deena has worked many long hours and at times multiple jobs to pay off her husband's medical bills and keep the family home. We all know how hard that can be on a single paycheck.
On April 24, 2023, at the age of 52 Deena suffered a massive brain aneurysm while at work. She is employed at NW Specialty Hospital, radiology department. Thanks to the quick actions of her co-workers Deena received immediate medical care. She was sent by ambulance to Kootenai Health and then life-flighted to Providence Sacred Heart in Spokane, WA.
Since her arrival at Providence Deena has been unconscious. She has undergone a craniotomy to relieve the pressure on her brain. This was followed by surgery the next day to repair the large aneurysm that had ruptured. On Wednesday 5/3 she had a brain angiogram to assess the damage followed by more scans on Saturday 5/6. The scans on Saturday revealed she had some vasospasm and small strokes.
Deena is currently on a ventilator, feeding tube, and various IV medications. She has been on a lot of sedating medications so as of today she has not wakened.
Her daughters are by her side every day for as long as hospital visiting hours will allow. Deena has a lot to live for including her first grandchild, Beckett. She is the most compassionate, brave, and dedicated woman I have ever met. She is a fighter and will use all of her strength to pull through.
Deena has some health insurance through her employer but her co-pay obligations will be astronomical. Also, she needs her house payments, credit cards, utilities, etc. paid so that she will have a house to come home to.
Your prayers for Deena and her family are greatly appreciated. Any donations will be considered a great blessing to this family. Recovery for Deena is going to be a very long journey and all of us who love her will be with her every step of the way.
God bless you and thank you for taking the time to read Deena's story.
