Help MeMe Rebuild her Flooded Home!

LaMesha "MeMe" Craft retired from the Army this past summer after 20 years of honorable service. Shortly after, she moved to South Carolina to fulfill her dream of being a professor. MeMe chose a home specifically not located in a flood zone that did not make flood insurance a necessity. Then Hurricane Florence happened. MeMe, her family and home survived and they thought they successful made it through their first hurricane. Less than two weeks later, the river near her home crested and slowly flooded her home. The water rose 10 inches in the home and filled it with sewage, leaving behind mold and dead fish. MeMe has finally been able to assess the damage and get estimates for the home repairs. She's facing a bill of over 20K to completely rebuild, as well as having to replace all furnishings, appliances and other household items destroyed in the flood.  Thankfully MeMe will get assistance from FEMA to cover a little over 50% of this; however, not all of it. MeMe used a significant amount of money to move to South Carolina and purchase her home so any assistance we can provide to help her rebuild her home is greatly appreciated. *MeMe is my best friend and my daughter's Godmother. She will have full access to this account and receive all money donated, short of the GoFundMe site fee. She has purchased flood insurance but will not be effective until 18 October and cannot be used to cover this natural disaster.
