Dee Needs Your Help After Accident

My name is Joan Ihde and I am the grandmother of seven children from age 12 to 29.

On Sunday, June 30, 2025, my eldest granddaughter Dee Stuck had an accident breaking her left leg and severely spraining her right ankle/foot. She is at home waiting for surgery on Monday, July 7th to add a plate to her fibula and repair torn tendons. She doesn't have a good leg to stand on and requires help with everything from getting to the bathroom, meals, and caring for her dogs.

She will not be able to return to her job as a dog groomer until her legs are completely healed, missing 7-10 weeks of work that she loves. No work means no income. With no warning, she is in a huge mess both physically and financially.

Dee owns a home and car in Flint, Michigan, and needs help to pay her monthly bills for July and August and to purchase food and household items for herself and her 12-year-old sister, who she is raising. She has always made timely payments and is very concerned about this situation causing problems with her creditors, insurance carrier, and utility companies. Once you fall that far behind in your payments, it is almost impossible to catch up.

Her sister Livija is starting 7th grade at a charter school in August, which brings many additional expenses for school supplies and fees, clothing, and new shoes.

Dee is a caring woman who often jumps in to help other people when they have problems too big to handle on their own. She frequently responds to calls for help quickly despite other plans/priorities she might have had.

Dee is in a lot of physical pain and the stress of worrying about not being able to pay her bills is overwhelming her.
